Dr. Fokruddin Ahmad is a structural engineer with expertise in steel, concrete, and timber design, seismic performance, structural retrofitting, and finite element modeling. He earned his Ph.D. from Washington State University (#GoCougs), where his research focused on the response of structures to long-duration earthquakes, with particular emphasis on Cascadia Subduction Zone fault rupture. His professional experience includes hydraulic structures, deep foundations, retaining structures, nonlinear dynamic analysis, performance-based design, seismic design codes, site-specific design methodology, and structural damage assessment. Dr. Ahmad brings a strong combination of academic training and practical engineering experience to PE exam preparation.
